Audience: Professionals from the public system in Quebec and Canada who participate in conducting diagnostic assessments for autism. Prior training and knowledge of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – Second Edition (ADOS-2) is a recommended prerequisite.
About the series
The ECHO (Extension for Community Health Outcomes) is a free, virtual learning workshop series designed to enhance healthcare professionals’ understanding and skills in neurodevelopmental diagnoses and care.
Through this series, participants will:
- Develop skills in autism diagnosis
- Explore best practices in diagnostic evaluation, including administration and coding of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – Second Edition (ADOS-2)
- Improve knowledge of differential diagnosis

- Expert lecturers: Each session features a brief lecture related to differential diagnosis
- Case studies: Participants present real-life case studies from their practices, providing practical insights and learning opportunities.
- Group discussions: Open discussions follow the case presentations, allowing participants to share insights, ask questions, and engage with experts and peers.
