Drawing on her research on learning processes and reasoning in autistic individuals, Professor Isabelle Soulières (Université du Québec à Montréal) explores how educators can create environments that better support autistic students.

Isabelle Soulières, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Psychology at the Université du Québec à Montréal and a researcher at the Collectif de Recherche, évaluation et intervention en autisme (CREIA), Hôpital Rivière-des-Prairies, Centre de recherche du CIUSSS du Nord-de-l’île-de-Montréal. Her research focuses on learning processes, reasoning, and intelligence in autistic individuals, from a developmental perspective. With a background as a clinical neuropsychologist, she is also interested in the challenges of cognitive assessment in young and/or non-verbal children, as well as in the development of characteristic cognitive profiles observed among autistic individuals.
