About the series
The ECHO (Extension for Community Health Outcomes) is a free, virtual learning workshop series designed to enhance healthcare professionals’ understanding and skills in neurodevelopmental diagnoses and care.
Through this series, participants will:
- Summarize key steps in the diagnostic process, from screening to recommendations
- Explore best practices in diagnostic evaluation
- Consider important factors in diagnostic care
Meet the Hub Team
The ECHO model connects participants with a multidisciplinary team of specialists (the Hub Team), who share their expertise to support ongoing learning and improve access to best-practice care:
- Julie Scorah, Neuropsychologist and Facilitator
- Noémie Hébert-Lalonde, Neuropsychologist and alternate Facilitator
- Sharon McCarry, Family Advocate and Former Co-Chair of the Disability Committee for the Minister of National Revenue and CRA
- Eva-Flore Bui-Xuan, Child Psychiatrist
- Myriam Srour, Pediatric Neurologist
- Anna Katalifos, Family advocate and PhD student in Educational and Counselling Psychology
What to expect
- Expert lecturers: Each session features a specialist from our Hub Team discussing key topics in neurodevelopmental assessment.
- Case studies: Participants present real-life case studies from their practices, providing practical insights and learning opportunities.
- Group discussions: Open discussions follow the case presentations, allowing participants to share insights, ask questions, and engage with experts and peers.

Accreditation
This activity is accredited by the Office for Continuing Professional Development, School of Medicine, McGill University, which is accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Education (CACME) of which the Collège des médecins du Québec (CMQ) is a partner.
This Group Learning program meets the accreditation criteria as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and has been approved for up to13.5 MOC Section 1 credits/hours.
Through an agreement between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert Royal College MOC credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
