Autism Festival 2021 Creation Initiative
The Autism Festival proposes events and activities that aim to foster exchange, inclusion, visibility, engagement, information sharing and networking.
We are pleased to present the Creation initiative, the first event of the second edition of the Autism Festival, a virtual interactive exhibit showcasing the work of autistic artists wanting to share their art and creativity and contribute to better reveal the autistic community in Quebec in all its diversity. Artists interested to contribute to an upcoming exhibit can submit their work here.
The 2021 Autism Festival invites you to share your talents!
We are looking for autistic people of all ages who want to share their art or their mode of expression in order to contribute to the discovery and recognition of the autistic community in Quebec in all its diversity.
The second edition of the Autism Festival will be held in the form of events and activities, virtual for the moment, in different streams (Inspiration, Transformation, Discovery) that aim to foster exchange, inclusion, visibility, engagement, information sharing and networking.
For our first initiative Creation in the Inspiration stream, we are looking for art projects by autistic artists or by people with autism who express themselves through art, individually or in teams, in all areas of artistic and cultural expression. These projects will then be presented to the TACC community through two different exhibits. One will be held in August 2021 and the second will be held in December 2021. We have closed submissions for the first launch in August 2021, but we are still accepting submissions for the second launch in December 2021. If you wish to submit your work for this second launch, please fill out this submission form by the deadline of October 15, 2021.
Our selection committee will make its decision based on the correspondence with the objectives of the Creation initiative by mid-June and will contact the authors of the selected projects. In the current context of the pandemic, our events will take place virtually. The deployment schedule will run from June to December 2021. Your creative project must be ready to be presented by October 15, 2021, in order to be showcased in the December exhibit.
Your talent, your experience, your desire to contribute to a more inclusive society, are essential to us.
We look forward to sharing this second edition of the Autism Festival with you!
