On October 28, 2026, the Fondation Véro & Louis, in partnership with the Transforming Autism Care Consortium (TACC), will host a knowledge-sharing event focused on innovative living environments for autistic adults.
Bringing together autistic people, family members, service providers, community organizations, researchers, and other community members, the event will create space to explore what contributes to meaningful, supportive, and fulfilling living environments across different contexts.
Making Research Accessible
Since 2018, the Fondation Véro & Louis has drawn on research to develop and strengthen its housing model. Over the years, six research projects have generated valuable insights into the impacts of this model on the quality of life of residents.
This event aims to make those findings accessible, practical, and relevant to a broader audience of individuals and organizations interested in housing and support for autistic adults.
Presented in partnership with TACC through its Partners for Change initiative, the event reflects a shared commitment to connecting research, lived experience, and practice. By creating opportunities for knowledge sharing across sectors, Partners for Change helps bring research findings beyond academic settings and into conversations that can inform real-world decision-making and community action.
Preliminary Program
The program will include:
- Presentations of findings from Fondation Véro & Louis research projects
- Highlights of innovative housing initiatives from Québec and beyond
- Panel discussions featuring researchers, community organizations, and sector leaders
- Opportunities to explore how research and lived experience can inform future approaches to housing and support
By bringing together diverse perspectives, the event aims to foster dialogue and deepen understanding of the opportunities, challenges, and successes associated with developing living environments that support autistic adults to thrive.
