About the workshop
Evaluation for neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and Global Developmental Delay and/or Intellectual Disability (GDD/ID) are based on a combination of behavioural observations and the collection of information about current and past symptoms. Taking a detailed and comprehensive developmental history is an integral part of the evaluation process.
In this workshop, health practitioners will learn essential skills for conducting thorough developmental history interviews.
Led by licensed neuropsychologist Dr. Julie Scorah, this 3-hour session will equip you with valuable insights and techniques to enhance your diagnostic evaluation process.
What to expect
Understand the importance of developmental history taking in the diagnostic evaluation of neurodevelopmental conditions.
Learn effective interviewing techniques to assess symptoms across various developmental domains such as language, social interaction, sensory processing, and behavior.
Gain proficiency in mapping symptoms onto diagnostic criteria according to the DSM-5.
Receive an example template for a comprehensive developmental history to streamline your practice.

Workshop fees
Regular fee: $ 250 CAD + tax
Reduced fee: $ 150 CAD + tax - The reduced fee applies to students; clinicians in the public healthcare system or the public school system in Canada
