ADI-R Introductory Workshop (Online)

The Azrieli Centre for Autism Research (ACAR) Clinic will be offering ECHO-Autism “Diagnosis in ASD”, a program that aims to connect specialist teams with local care teams to increase the skills of diagnosticians to perform diagnostic assessments for autism spectrum disorders (ASD), and thus benefit and empower autistic individuals and their advocates.

The Expertise of TACC Researchers Recognized by The Canadian Academy of Health Sciences

In an effort to create a national strategy for Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), the federal government reached out to experts and community members to lead a national consultation. Eight TACC regular researchers were selected to lead and contribute to this initiative. In the next 16 months, information will be compiled in a report that will hopefully transform Canadian autism policy.

QART 3rd Annual Summer School

The QART Third Annual Summer School was held online from August 24th to 27th. Our four-day program included over 30 local and international speakers and nearly 40 trainees in attendance. The programme spanned fundamental, clinical and translational research, as well as career development, covered through didactic lectures and interactive activities.

The Autism and Related Disorders in the Context of Humanitarian Emergencies is an INSAR special interest group created as a platform for communication and collaboration between autism researchers, clinicians, advocates and key stakeholders in humanitarian settings. Its goal is to promote the health and well-being of children with ASD and their caregivers during humanitarian emergencies.

Unveiling of the TACC’s Flagship Project: The Quebec 1000 Families Project (Q1K)

The announcement of the generous donation made by the Fondation Marcelle et Jean Coutu to promote autism research was made on Tuesday, the 12th of November 2019 at the CHU Sainte-Justine. The 9.845-million-dollar donation will allow for the launch of our research network’s flagship project: the Quebec 1000 Families Project (Q1K).
